The Seafarers’ Centre is a house trailer. The blocking supporting it needs to be renewed, as the north end of the trailer has dropped a couple of inches. The skirting was replaced in 1994 and it has since deteriorated and needs to be replaced. The scope of the project is to re-block the trailer, including pouring 8 concrete pads, replace the skirting on the trailer and insulate the skirting with spray foam to R24. It will cost $28,000 not including tax. The construction is expected to take place in the September 29 2025.
Funds are on hand that can pay for the project. However, using these funds would exhaust our reserve. The Board is intending offset the present expenditure by raising funds toward the project. As you are able, would you make a donation to the Capital Fund for the Skirting Project?
